Peptide Storage & Handling
Lyophilised (Freeze-Dried) Peptides
When peptides are in their lyophilised state, they remain stable for months to years at room temperature. For longer-term storage, keep them in a freezer at −20°C, where they can remain stable for up to 48 months. Avoid frost-free or auto-defrost freezers, as repeated freeze–thaw cycles can degrade the peptide.
Light, especially UV light, can negatively affect peptides, so store them in dark containers or areas that block light. Proper storage is crucial to maintain quality and effectiveness, as peptides are delicate molecules that degrade easily if mishandled.
General vial note: Most peptide vials can hold up to 3ml of solution. It is up to the researcher what amount to dilute with, as 1ml is usually sufficient. However, some peptides require specific volumes for proper dissolution—see NAD Plus and Glutathione below.
Reconstituted Peptides
After reconstitution, peptides should be kept in the refrigerator at 2–8°C. They typically remain potent for up to 4 weeks, depending on the peptide and storage conditions.
Peptides should be reconstituted carefully using bacteriostatic water, acetic acid, or the recommended solvent to avoid contamination or degradation.
General Handling Tips:
Always use clean utensils when handling peptides.
Store in tightly sealed containers, away from food.
Avoid shaking; gently swirl to dissolve.
Reusable Pen Instructions
Proper Vial Insertion:
Ensure the black stopper inside the cartridge is fully in contact with the grey rubber bung at the bottom.
Prime the pen by dialing and clicking several times without the needle attached.
Ensuring Proper Flow:
Once the black stopper touches the grey bung, attach the needle.
Dial and click to push the liquid correctly through the needle.
Final Steps:
After inserting the needle and pressing the pen, count to 30 before withdrawing to ensure the full dose is administered.
Micrograms per Click (Research Protocols):
5mg Vial (2ml Solution): 25mcg/click
5mg Vial (3ml Solution): 16.67mcg/click
10mg Vial (2ml Solution): 50mcg/click
10mg Vial (3ml Solution): 33.33mcg/click
500mg (4ml total): 1250mcg/click
Nasal Spray Instructions
Reconstituting the Peptide:
Use included needle, syringe, 10ml spray bottle, and 10ml bacteriostatic water.
Inject 3ml into the peptide vial and gently swirl until dissolved. Do not shake.
Preparing the Spray Atomiser:
Add additional water or NaCl to the spray atomiser to reach the desired volume (5ml or 10ml).
Transferring the Solution:
Use a sterile syringe to transfer the reconstituted solution into the spray atomiser.
Dosage Calculations:
Spray device delivers ~10 sprays/ml.
Example: 10mg peptide in 10ml solution = 100mcg per spray (100 sprays total).
